The Fabulous Forties Christmas Tradition
Touring the Fab Forties is a Christmas tradition for many familes and friends, and there's no better way to view the holiday lights and decorations than by horse-drawn carriage or wagon. You'll love the slow pace as you make your way through this beautiful neighborhood. During the holidays most of these houses get decorated very elaborately -- You'll see beautiful light-strands going from one side of the street to the other, porch columns in lighted garland, oak trees wrapped in colored lights, characters from our favorite Christmas movies, manger displays, and more. Once you experience the Fab Forties at Christmas you'll definitely keep coming back every year.
Fab 40's Carriage and Wagon Pricing
Reservations are required for our Fab 40's tours. Please contact us by phone or email to make your reservation.
- The rides are 1 hour long.
- The first ride starts at 5:00 pm and the last ride is 9:00 pm.
- Carriages: $175 (per carriage); this accommodates 4 adults and 2 small children.
- Wagons: $300 (per wagon); 4 sizes available (12, 16, 18, 20).
- Pick up at 48th & M Street.
In the event of bad weather, we may need to cancel the reservation. We recommend people bring blankets, snacks, and drinks. Please book early since we routinely sell out for this special event.
"Top Hand Ranch is a holiday tradition for my family at Christmas time. We take a carraige ride through the Fab 40's to see the lights and it's an amazing experience. The horses are in excellent condition and you can tell they are well cared for. The carraige ride was amazing. We strolled up and down each street enjoying the sights and listening to the carraige bells as we went along. The driver was so nice and made great conversation during our trip. We never felt like our ride was being rushed and felt that we were going at a leisurely pace. The carraige itself was nice and big and the perfect size for four adults and my 1 year old toddler. This year will be our second trip to the Fab 40's and we can't wait. This is a new annual tradition that my whole family looks forward to.
